MY REACTION:  The colors here are rich and magical.  Almost exotic.  And the snowman feels special.  This piece captivates me.  I keep coming back to it.

CONTENT:  Faith is a gut thing.  A way of life.  But our beliefs are different.  A belief is a chosen thing.  Not an instinct or a muscle, like faith is to me.  A belief is as a choice whether we choose it consciously or not.  And my goal in life is to vigilantly inspect my beliefs to always weed out the weak ones and foster those that lift me.  That lead me towards a life of service and kindness.  I try, sometimes against very steep odds.  Sometimes I fail.  But I try to feed only the beliefs that help me thrive.  And help me be a better contributor to this world.

ARTISTIC CONCERNS:  This is primarily a knife painting.  I used tiny detail brushes to paint the snowman, the star and the words.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:  This piece is on a gallery stretched canvas.  The painting continues around the staple-free sides.  It can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass.  This one also shows well on the wall as it is, unframed.  Or it can be shown on a small display stand.
