MY REACTION: This painting is delicious. Warm. Comfortable. Inspirational. CONTENT: Flying trees to me represent letting go of what we know. And giving in to what we feel. That anything is possible. That magic happens. That our dreams matter. That gravity is more of a suggestion than a law. And this piece references creativity. An essential element in our humanity. Creativity - regardless of what is created - is a powerful force. A way of shouting out, "I matter! My perspective matters!" And that is a sign of hope. That shouting out. We are all the better for it. This is from the In Motion series. ARTISTIC CONCERNS: This is primarily a knife painting. I used tiny detail brushes to paint the flying tree and her feathered friends and the words. WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: This piece is on a gallery stretched canvas. The painting continues around the staple-free sides. It can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass. This one also shows well on the wall as it is, unframed. Or it can be shown on a small display stand.
