Inspired

Inspired is a really gentle painting. Like a lullaby almost. But there is more to it than the lovely layered colors. There is a white dove headed skyward. And a single phrase painted in tiny black letters at the bottom of the panel. The sentence reads, "Lead the way." Because the world desperately needs more visionaries right now.

I am hopeful this painting will inspire some fellow creative soul out there to aim high and help light the way.

How Inspired was created..... After the black gesso primer dried, I used my fingers to apply several layers of unusual hues. I allowed the paint to dry between applications so that the colors did not blend and blur. Once I had achieved a balanced expressionist composition, I used tiny detail brushes to add the lines that frame this piece, the beautiful dove, and the words.

Inspired was painted on a masonite panel. The image continues around the edges of the panel, so this piece looks lovely displayed just as it is on a small stand or decorative easel. Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no glass or matting.

Lead the way.
