We live in complicated times. Ruled by science and popular opinion. With little patience for miracles and mysteries and the painful awakening of the soul. We barely have time to breathe down here on earth. And sometimes our concerns bewilder me. But the sky always soothes me. That giant blue reminder that our calendars and our clocks and our constant conversations are just suggestions. Not laws. The sky is constant. And my heart lives in that vastness. This is a soft layered piece with wonderful hues. It is a surprisingly satisfying painting. How this image was created..... This is a traditional brush painting.
(The painting continues around the staple free sides.) This image was painted on a gallery stretched canvas primed with black acrylic gesso. The image continues around the staple-free sides. This painting may be displayed unframed either directly on the wall or on a decorative display easel. Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it required no matting or glass. |

I understand the sky.
