(Details)

This is a fun festive piece.  A declaration of individuality!  It is filled with deep satisfying color and has a bold active composition.

I am hopeful this unusual original painting will bring a little comfort and joy to some fellow oddball out there.

How Lines was created.....   After the black acrylic primer dried, I used a palette knife and variety of brushes to layer bright color - sometimes allowing wet paint to mix, sometimes waiting between layers for paint to dry.  Then I used a teeny tiny detail brush to paint that crisp symbolic house and to add the words.

This piece is on a gorgeous panel of Belgian linen bonded with traditional rabbit-skin glue to a ¼” thick piece of masonite. The linen was primed with top-grade, old school gesso. It is the perfect surface for detailed painting. The texture of linen is so much finer than canvas.

The painting continues around the edges.

Lines can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no glass or matting.  Or is can be displayed on a small decorative easel.  I will include a new black mission style easel with this painting at no charge if you request one at the time of payment.

I live between the lines.
