I am SO EXCITED about this painting! Oh my. It thrills me to work with raw color like this. Lines and shapes. It is so freeing to express myself this way. The thousand or so paintings that came before this one all brought me here. And I am excited to have reached a point in my artistic development where I can take two rectangles and two circles and I can express as much emotion with those plain tools as I used to do with all sorts of goofy tricks and unnecessary clutter. I hope this fun vibrant abstract helps some other distracted soul (like me) to slow down and really listen. Your attention will make a big difference in the lives of those around you. Everyone longs to be heard. How Listening was created... This is a traditional brush painting. Listening was painted on a rigid canvas panel. The edges of the panel have also been painted, so this piece looks lovely displayed just as it is on a small stand or decorative easel. It could also be easily and affordably framed as it requires no glass or matting.
