This painting is too large to scan in its entirety, so the first image is a digital photo. It is a surprisingly accurate photo that offers a very good glimpse of this powerful original painting. This painting is noticeably textured and you may see "hot spots" where light is reflected off the surface of the most textured areas. Additional detailed scans are available on request.

This painting was inspired by a vision and I resisted painting it for a long time because I am uncomfortable with religious symbols. But I was compelled to create this specific image and I am grateful for the inspiration that led to such a beautiful piece. The colors are thrilling, the light is calming and the composition is like a dream or a meditation. This painting is a bit of healing made real and I would like to think that it will bring comfort and hope to the home of some fellow seeker out there. How Lonely was painted..... After the black acrylic gesso primer dried, I used palette knives to create a colorful textured underpainting. Once that dried, I used a variety of wide brushes and a soft cloth to build up the glowing colors. Finally, I used tiny detail brushes to paint the scene and the lines and the edging. Lonely was created on a professional quality gallery-wrapped canvas. The staple-free sides have been painted. This piece looks wonderful displayed unframed directly on the wall. Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it required no matting or glass.
