It is both disturbing and comforting when you realize that you have been with someone so long that you are growing more like each other and less like the people you used to be before you met. I hope this elegant symbolic image brings comfort and a few smiles to the home of someone who shares my ambivalent acceptance of the changes that accompany long term love. How Long Term was created..... This is a traditional brush painting. This piece is on a gorgeous panel of Belgian linen bonded with traditional rabbit-skin glue to a ¼” thick piece of masonite. The linen was primed with top-grade, old school gesso. It is the perfect surface for detailed painting. The texture of linen is so much finer than canvas. The painting continues around the edges. Long Term can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no glass or matting. Or is can be displayed on a small decorative easel or plastic stand. *** I will include a new clear plastic stand with this painting at no charge if you request one at the time of payment.
