Your love was so wild. Ooh la la... |

(Enlarged to show details. This painting is highly textured. And the heart is raised slightly from the surface of the wood.)

This is one of my richest, most expressive paintings to date.
It is filled with beautiful layered hues and varied active textures.
This is a captivating exciting image. A unique piece that I
hope will warm your home with passion and joy. The words in this piece read, "Your love was so wild. Ooh la la..." How Love So Wild was created..... Oh this piece has so much exciting stuff going on. The underpainting was all done with palette knives creating some great organic textures and lots of movement. The heart was built up so that is slightly raised from the surface of the wood. Once all of that underpainting dried, I used palette knives and a soft cloth and a dry brush to layer colors across this piece over the course of a week. And finally, I used a dental tool to scratch in accent lines and to add the words.
(The sides of have been rubbed with a deep pretty blue so you can display your new artwork unframed. This is a digital photo, the scans above are more accurate.) Love So Wild was painted on a rough wooden board primed with black gesso. The image continues around the sides of the board. I can attach a saw-tooth hanger to the back of this piece allowing you to display it unframed if you like. Just request a hanger at the time of payment. Otherwise, this painting can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass.
