The colors in this little gem are so bright and bold!  It packs quite a punch for such a small piece.  And the bird is very strong.  She will carry you as far as you need to go.  So what are you waiting for?  It is time to move on!

How Move On was created.....   After the black acrylic gesso dried, I used palette knives to create a beautiful abstract expressionist underpainting filled with salmon and orange and bits of rust.  Then I used a dry brush to skim a bit of bright bright red across the top of that layer once it had dried.  I used a variety of brushes to build up that "window" area.  And I finished the piece using tiny 18/0 spotter brushes to paint that bird and the accent lines and the words.

This piece was painted on a wooden board created specifically for use by artists. It has a recessed slot in the back allowing you to hang it flush with the wall. The sides of the board have been painted as well so this artwork would look wonderful displayed unframed either directly on the wall or on a small, decorative table-top easel.
