My Story

My Story is a gorgeous, elegant drawing filled with vibrant color and a world of possibilities. This drawing was once reviewed in a newspaper where the critic referred to the piece as having a "Ukiyo-esque" sort of beauty. I was not sure what that meant, so I looked up Ukiyo and learned it was a style of art usually appreciated by common folks in Japan from the 1700's on. It is described as being about, "the joy of contemplating nature and everything of beauty and harmony". My Story is such a wide-open drawing. So many folks have written me to say what they see in the piece and it is clear that we each see our own story here. This piece is sure to brighten any room with warm thoughts and hopeful contemplation.

Please note: This is a lighter colored piece. Softer and less intense than my later works. It has not faded, it has just always been lighter colored without real sharp contrasts.
