ABOUT THIS PIECE:  I really like this one.  It began as a lush abstract expressionist piece.  Then I looked into that painting (like I was looking into a Rorschach image) and I saw this line appear.  It gave me the feel of both a horizon line reflected in a still lake and a scientific representation of sound waves.  And then these words came to me as I balanced those two ideas, "Nature and science look the same to God."

HOW IT WAS MADE:  This image started with some loose palette knife work.  Then I used a tiny 20/0 detail brush to create that unusual line and to add the words.

This piece shows my new interest in layering conscious images over intuitive painting.

Nature and science look the same to God.
