Title:  No Matter What

Completed in:  2008

Size:  12" x 12" x 1.5"

Materials:  Acrylic on hand-stretched canvas

The words read:  Devotion.

You.

(Enlarged to show details.)

MY REACTION:  Across any distance.  Beyond any differences.  Devotion.  Maintaining that connection.  Keeping each other in sight.

ARTISTIC CONCERNS:  This is primarily a finger-painting, but I used brushes, too.  NOTE:  I had problems with light reflecting off the black areas when I scanned this one for the detail shots.  So I did digitally blacken the dark areas to make them more accurately reflect the actual painting.  The side shot of the painting is an unaltered digital photo so you can see it really is that black.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:  No Matter What is on a gallery stretched canvas.  This heavy duty canvas was hand-stretched on thick kiln dried stretchers.  It is weighty and solid.  The painting continues around the deep staple-free sides so it can be displayed unframed.

Devotion.

You.
