ABOUT THIS PIECE: I have many regrets as do most folks I know. I don't trust people who claim to have no regrets. I figure they have either failed to live life fully or else they lack self-awareness. (Which makes me judgmental, which is, of course, one of my many regrets.) Regret is a part of aging, maturing. But just because regret is natural, that does not mean I accept it as inevitable in all circumstances. I think striving in every action to make choices I will not later regret is a wise aim and even if I miss my mark, my life will be fuller just for having tried. Like how seeking enlightenment gives us unexpected gifts even when it brings us no closer to our ideal. I want to find the place in this painting. The land of no regrets. It is a nice dream. And maybe by searching for that lovely sign, I will find the land of conscious living. Which is almost as good. But that is another painting. I hope this pretty, layered, ethereal-almost painting brings hope and inspiration to some other seeker out there. HOW IT WAS MADE: This is a traditional brush painting. DISPLAY OPTIONS: This piece already has a saw-toothed hanger attached and the sides are painted. Allowing you to display your new painting unframed if you choose. Or it could be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass. PLEASE NOTE: Because this board is a really hard surface, the painting is delicate and could be easily scratched. I will apply gloss varnish to this piece to protect it if you request varnish at the time of payment.
