Title:  Owls Are Carnivores

Completed in:  2008

Size:  4" x 4" x 1.5"

Materials:  Acrylic on deep stretched canvas

The words read:  I eat baby bunnies.

(Enlarged to show details.)

(The painting continues around the sides so you can display this piece unframed if you like.  This is a digital photo.  The scans above are more accurate.)

MY REACTION Ummm....     what can I say?

CONTENT:  I really cannot possibly add anything to your understanding of this piece.  I knew it would be more marketable with a different title and happier words, but I felt compelled to create this specific piece.  Maybe just to amuse myself.  But I am hoping it speaks to some other odd soul out there who appreciates the whole range of Nature's antics.

ARTISTIC CONCERNS:  This bold colorful gem is a traditional brush painting.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:  This piece is on a deep gallery stretched canvas.  The painting continues around the staple-free sides.  It can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass.  It could also be displayed unframed on a small display easel.  This one also shows well on the wall as it is, unframed.  Or it can sit on edge on a shelf or dresser or desk.

I eat baby bunnies.
