You know, I always have a soft-spot for the gray paintings.  Which are never just gray, they always have layers of subtle hues.  But I am a sucker for these gentle paintings.  Especially this little treat.  The colors flow like a soothing fountain.  And that delicate sweet dove rises eternally.  Reminding me to look towards the opportunities ahead and let go of my disappointments.

The words in this painting read:  There is still a chance.

How Overcoming was created...  I used everything but the kitchen sink for this piece.  I have been working on Overcoming off-and-on for a couple of weeks and that gave me the opportunity to use several texturing products and a variety of painting techniques as well.  This is a richly layered little piece.  Filled with surprises.

(The staple-free sides have been painted so you can display your new artwork unframed.  This is a digital photo, the scans above are more accurate.)

Overcoming was painted on a small 4" x 4" gallery-wrapped canvas with staple-free sides.  This piece would look wonderful displayed unframed directly on the wall or on a small stand or easel.  Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it required no matting or glass.

There is still a chance.
