Oil pastel on acid-free mat board

(Enlarged to show details)

ABOUT THIS PIECE I do not have much to write about this.  It is a fun pretty little landscape.  With some lovely delicate colors.  The kind of piece oil pastels were meant for.  With two houses - more alike than different - separated by a small bit of water.  A nice little study on boundaries.

HOW IT WAS MADE:  I have been working in oil pastels for many years now and have learned different techniques for layering colors.  Each piece takes hand cramping concentration and lots of elbow grease, but I absolutely love the results.  Oil pastels are one of my favorite media to work in.

DISPLAY OPTIONS:  This image was created on white acid-free mat board.  It is sprayed with fixative, but the surface is still very fragile.  You will want to frame your new drawing to protect your investment.  To frame your artwork affordably, you can buy a ready-made frame at your local home or discount store and then bring the frame with the drawing to a custom-framer.  The framer can mat the piece to fit the frame.
