This is a very fertile, expressive time for me and the paint is really flowing.  But I am especially fond of this image.  I love the colors and the loose natural painting.  I also love those sweet simple symbolic birds and the crisp detail work.  Everything feels balanced and at ease in this piece.

The words in this image read:  We watch over each other.  I think the title "Partners" and those words make this image appropriate for all sorts of folks.  Romantic partners or friends that are partners in crime.

How Partners was created.....   I used palette knives and brushes to bring this one to life.

This piece is on a gorgeous panel of Belgian linen bonded with traditional rabbit-skin glue to a ¼” thick piece of masonite. The linen was primed with top-grade, old school gesso. It is the perfect surface for detailed painting. The texture of linen is so much finer than canvas.

The painting continues around the edges.

Partners can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no glass or matting.  Or is can be displayed on a small decorative easel or plastic stand.
