I love this piece. It makes me happy to be an artist. Grateful to be a painter. This is a lovely, lush, dreamy painting. With deep color and natural textures and maybe a little magic mixed in.

How this image was created..... I used palette knives to layer color on this painting over the course of several days. I used a dental tool to "engrave" the words in the surface and to retrace those letters after each new layer of paint was applied. Then I completed the painting using fine brushes to create the cloud and the little fish.

Remorse Fish was painted on a wooden board created specifically for use by artists. It has a recessed slot in the back allowing you to hang it flush with the wall. The sides of the board have been painted as well so that this piece would look wonderful displayed unframed either directly on the wall or on a small, decorative table-top easel. This piece also sits nicely on edge and could be displayed that way on a desk or bookshelf.
