MY REACTION: This one has grown on me. I really like this piece now. CONTENT: To me, this is a pretty reminder to look beyond the often clumsy machinations that bring other folks into our lives. To look beyond the boxes we are in, beyond our roles as employees and neighbors and citizens. And to see the hearts beating inside those business suits and overalls and parkas. To see our humanity in the midst of too many manufactured boundaries. ARTISTIC CONCERNS: Seeing Love was a lot of fun to make. I worked on this canvas off and on for a few weeks. Layering colors. Monkeying around. There are lush organic textures and all sorts of colorful surprises peaking out here and there. WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: This piece is on a gallery stretched canvas. The painting continues around the staple-free sides. It can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass. It could also be displayed unframed on a small display easel. This one also shows well on the wall as it is, unframed.
