This is a gorgeous energetic drawing filled with light and the
promise of spring. I really love the vibrant colors here and
the way they set each other off. I am hopeful this wise old
tree will bring you patience and a moment of peace. The words in this drawing read: All of my struggles seem softer in the shade of a beautiful tree. How Shade Tree was created..... First, I used artists markers filled with colored India ink to rough this piece out. Then I used oil pastels to layer luscious colors atop that underpainting. And finally I added the words with a tiny pen that has a nib measuring just .2 millimeters. Shade Tree was drawn on acid-free white mat board. You will want to frame this little treat to protect your investment. One affordable way to frame this unique drawing would be to purchase a standard-sized frame at your local home store and then bring the frame and the artwork together to a custom-framer. Ask the framer to mat the art to fit the frame.
