MY REACTION:  I love this piece.  It is bright and sweet and open.  With nice expressive brushwork.

CONTENT:  Sleeping puppies are wonders to behold.  Nothing lifts my spirits or fills my heart with joy as immediately as a tuckered out pup.  Especially one with her plump pink belly all exposed.

ARTISTIC CONCERNS:  These new pieces are looser, more free, more expressive than I have been in ages.  More confident.  Less concerned with perfection and more content to play and imagine.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:  This piece is on a stretched canvas.  The fabric was stapled to the sides of the stretchers, but the sides are painted and do not detract.  This painting would display nicely unframed either directly on the wall or on a small display stand.
