Lone boats on quiet seas calm me.  Slow my racing heart.  My racing mind.  Imagine for just one moment that you are laying flat inside that drifting boat.  You are looking up at the clear skies.  Listening to quiet water sounds.  Resting.  Your problems seem smaller, don't they? 

I think this piece would serve well as a visual meditation.  A peaceful anchoring point for some other overworked mind out there.

How Smooth Sailing was created.....   This is a traditional brush painting.  It is on my all-time favorite surface.  These lightly textured masonite panels are divine to paint on.  They take color beautifully.

This piece could be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass.  Or it would also display nicely just as it is, no framing needed, on a small easel or display stand.  I will include a clear plastic stand at no charge if you request one at the time of payment.
