MY REACTION:  Years ago, I found a teeny beanie eagle in the road.  He is a cute little guy and he has always watched over my studio since I adopted him  For the past several months, I have been seeing real bald eagles everywhere.  All the time.  Up close.  And I have come to believe they are visiting me to teach me about power.  So it occurred to me that this goofy little pudgy beanie eagle baby is a good metaphor for where I am at.  Not really powerful yet, but kinda headed that way.  Awkward.  Not even sure I can walk all that well, but still I gotta learn to fly soon.  More a caricature of what I might like to be someday.  For now, mostly sweet and non-threatening.  But one day maybe I will open up my giant wings and sore for miles and miles.

CONTENT:  Just a fun painting that might inspire other eagle folks out there dream big.  And to remember we all gotta start somewhere.

ARTISTIC CONCERNS:  This is a traditional brush painting with some knife painting in the "background".

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:  This piece is on a rigid canvas panel.  It can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass.  It could also be displayed unframed on a small display easel.
