Spirit is a rich, subtle, symbolic painting with a clean, open composition.  It feels like a dream.  Or a story.  I am hopeful this unusual image will bring a peaceful bit of Nature to your home or office.

How Spirit was created.....   After the black acrylic primer dried, I used a variety of brushes to create this image in a rather traditional, straight-forward manner.

This piece is on a gorgeous panel of Belgian linen bonded with traditional rabbit-skin glue to a ¼” thick piece of masonite. The linen was primed with top-grade, old school gesso. It is the perfect surface for detailed painting. The texture of the linen is so much finer than canvas.

The painting continues around the edges.

Spirit can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no glass or matting.  Or is can be displayed on a small decorative easel.  I will include a new black mission style easel with this painting at no charge if you request one at the time of payment.
