Oil pastel and ink on acid-free mat board

This piece is so warm and alive!  Like a brand new flower just opened.  It is a beautiful colorful piece and I hope it warms your home or office with a hint of good things to come.

How Sprung was created.....   First, I used artists markers filled with colored India ink to rough this piece out.  Then I used oil pastels to layer luscious colors atop that underpainting.  I used a dental tool to scratch around the heart for emphasis.  And finally I added the fine line around the heart with a tiny pen that has a nib measuring just .2 millimeters.

Sprung was drawn on acid-free white mat board.  You will want to frame this little gem to protect your investment.  One affordable way to frame this unique drawing would be to purchase a standard-sized frame at your local home store and then bring the frame and the artwork together to a custom-framer.  Ask the framer to mat the art to fit the frame.
