MY REACTION:  I have a lot of visual clutter that fills up my overactive mind.  This series is one way of making room in my odd little brain for more necessary thoughts, like where I put my keys and when I have to take the dogs to the groomer and stuff like that.

CONTENT:  I think dogs make the world go around.  Dogs are like Buddhist Monks crossed with circus clowns wrapped in fur and full of love.

ARTISTIC CONCERNS:  I sketched out four different boxed "frames" for the rest of this series and had those frames photocopied onto heavy white paper.  Copier inks do not smear like India ink, so by having the framework copied it allows me to use my art inks more freely.  The copied part is just the black lines that form boxes.  Everything else is hand inked.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:  This piece will need to be matted and framed if you want to protect your investment.  I think these Sketchy Thoughts pieces would frame up beautifully with simple white mats and slim matte black frames.

Where would we be without our dogs?

Pure love.
