Oh this serious lion is so lovely in person.  So expressive.  Somehow I managed to keep myself from over-painting him.  I am glad!  He is bold and intense in his effort to warn you.  He is no domesticated cat and you would be wise to remember his wild nature.  (As well as your own!)

This is a lush, playful, energetic piece.  I hope it brightens the home or office of some fellow wild thing out there.

How Still Wild was created.....   I used both palette knives and traditional brushes to create this painting.

This piece  was painted on a wooden board created specifically for use by artists. It has a recessed slot in the back allowing you to hang it flush with the wall. The sides of the board have been painted as well so that this piece would look wonderful displayed unframed either directly on the wall or on a small, decorative table-top easel.  This piece also sits nicely on edge and could be displayed that way on a desk or bookshelf.
