This new series follows my fun and playful Cheat Sheet series that recently ended.  Those pieces contained life lessons or something like that.  This Story Lines series is broader and gives me more freedom to create what I feel at any given time.  The overriding theme here is that I am taking a single idea or line of text and then illustrating as I see fit.  The words are mine and do not come from any published writing.  There will likely be a broad range of pieces in the series.  From serious to silly, from purely abstract to carefully realistic.

These pieces fall under the Tiny Art umbrella and are titled as such.  They all measure 2.5" x 3.5" which is the standard size for Art Cards also known as ACEO's, so you may see that acronym in the title when I am auctioning these.  ACEO refers only to the size of a piece, not the content or materials used. 

These unique pieces are all one-of-a-kind original works of art.  They are created with fancy artist's markers filled with India ink on nice heavy white paper.  And sometimes with other materials, too.  These are light-safe, but I still would recommend displaying these drawings somewhere away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.

I created all of these pieces freehand.  And I do not use rulers or tools.  The lettering is equally loose, not tight and precise like my painted words.  These are meant to be gestural energetic pieces with expected imperfections.  They are quick rough studies allowing me to capture fleeting moments and passing thoughts quickly.  Some of these pieces may serve as studies for larger works in other media in the future.

You will want to frame your new artwork to protect your investment. One affordable way to frame these unique drawings would be to purchase standard-sized frames at your local home store and then bring the frames and the artwork together to a custom-framer. Ask the framer to mat the art to fit the frame. These pieces would look lovely with a neutral mat and a low-profile frame.

ACEOs are shipped in a waxed-paper storage bag, sandwiched between sheets of rigid cardboard.
