The colors in this piece are so bold and crisp and encouraging.  This is beautiful little abstract painting.  The ripe red suspended heart hangs from a pretty ribbon that has been hand-tied in a lopsided bow.  And a single word is tucked in the upper right corner.  It reads, "Surrender."

I am hopeful this unusual piece will bring a colorful bit of magic to the home of some fellow romantic out there.

How Surrender was created...  I used palette knives and wide soft brushes to create the rich expressionist painting behind the heart.  And I used tiny 18/0 spotter brushes to paint that beautiful heart and the ribbon and the word.

(The image continues around the staple-free sides so you can display your new artwork unframed.  This is a digital photo, the scans above are more accurate.)

Surrender was painted on a gallery-wrapped canvas with .75" staple-free sides.  This piece would look wonderful displayed unframed directly on the wall.  Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it required no matting or glass.

Surrender.
