As
the years pass, I have less and less confidence in science. I
pay less and less attention to the news about what is and is not
going to prevent aging and death. And I focus more and more on
my own inner truth. The news that comforts and soothes my
soul. My Secret Weapons against depression and illness and
every sort of malady are IMAGINATION and FAITH. And do you
want to know the most amazing thing? Imagination and faith are
free! You do not even need to buy a book or follow a special
diet or go to seminars in order to use these powerful tools.
Incredible! I made this fun colorful painting to bring a bit of hope to your home or office. How Secret Weapons was created..... After the black acrylic primer dried, I applied an even coat of this incredible new texturing product I discovered all along the outer edges. This stuff is imported from Europe and is obscenely expensive, but I could not resist it. It is created specifically for fine artists and it makes colors really pop off the canvas! The central area of the canvas is not textured. Most of this piece is a traditional brush painting, but I did use a dental tool to etch in a few lines for emphasis. The woman was painted with tiny 18/0 detail brushes.
(The sides are textured and painted so you can display your new artwork unframed if you like.) Secret Weapons was painted on an 8" x 8" stretched canvas. The sides of this piece DO have staples but they are covered by layers of texture and color and they do not show at all. This painting looks lovely displayed as it is without framing either directly on the wall or on a small decorative easel or stand. Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass. |

Imagination and faith.
