ABOUT THIS PIECE: I bought a set of three tiny paintings about 10 years ago and I have been passionate about tiny art ever since. I love the intimacy of holding a work of art in the palm of my hand. I love how tiny art draws you in, begging to be studied. Whispering its story quietly to one viewer at a time. There is just something magical about tiny art. Beginning in Summer 2004, I am creating a series of 1,000 unique miniature paintings, drawings, and sculptures. Each piece in the series will be numbered, signed and dated. The subject matter of these new pieces will run the gamut, but I do expect to see all of my common themes appearing in miniature. Hopefully, I will discover some new directions as well. The only parameters that I have set are maximum dimensions of 3.5” square. THE PROCESS: Each of these pieces is a unique, hand-made, original work of art. As with my traditional work, I pay very close attention to composition, color use, line quality and lighting. I have not compromised my commitment to quality in any way. I have simply traded my usual brushes and tools for really teeny ones and I am using some magnifying aids to keep me from going blind. DISPLAY OPTIONS: This painting looks wonderful shown alone or in a grouping of similar pieces. You might want to frame your new artwork to protect your investment. One affordable way to frame these unique pieces would be to purchase standard-sized frames at your local home store and then bring the frames and the artwork together to a custom-framer. Ask the framer to mat the art to fit the frame. These pieces would look lovely with a neutral mat and a low-profile frame. This painting also looks nice on a small display stand. ***NEW*** I am super excited about a new discovery. Well, it may not be new to you, but it is new to me and it is entirely liberating. I found rigid plastic cases for paper ACEO Tiny Art pieces that protect the art and do not cause color distortion as some plastics will. These crystal clear cases protect the art so I can handle it all I like with my grubby little fingers and never cause damage! Woo hoo. Better yet, they act as inexpensive frames if you choose to display your art on small display stands. Here is what I mean...
For a limited time I am offering this Tiny Art drawing with one rigid plastic case and one small clear plastic display stand at no additional charge. The case and the stand are free!
This artwork will arrive protected between sheets of sturdy cardboard.
