ABOUT THIS PIECE: This painting has gorgeous layered color and some nicely varied textures, too. It is a lush magical little landscape. I wish the traveling tree safe passage and I hope this piece brings some warmth and color to the home or office of a fellow wanderer out there. HOW IT WAS MADE: The land area is noticeably textured. That part was created by loading paint on a palette knife and then repeatedly touching the knife flat against the canvas and lifting quickly. That is how the colors in that area were blended, too. The sky was created with traditional knife methods. The tree and her shadow were painted with tiny detail brushes. DISPLAY OPTIONS: This piece could be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass. Or it would also display nicely either on the wall or sitting on a small decorative easel or stand just as it is, no framing needed. The image continues around the staple-free sides for a clean finished look.
