Trees

This bright bold image has a light all its own. The colors are vibrant and rich, the composition is open and airy, and the trees are finely detailed little treats. The words in this piece read, "Nature heals us." Because I believe that much of what ails us is the result of too much time spent among man-made creations and too little time spent among nature's miracles. I always feel better when I get out in the woods and listen to the birds and the leaves and the critters at work.

I am hopeful this warm image of happy trees will bring a ray of natural light to your home or office.

How Trees was created..... this is predominantly a traditional brush painting. I did use a fancy stippling brush to create the delicious red/pink expressionist background painting, though.

Trees was painted on a wooden board created specifically for use by artists. It has a recessed slot in the back allowing you to hang it flush with the wall. The sides of the board have been painted as well so that this piece would look wonderful displayed unframed either directly on the wall or on a small, decorative table-top easel.
