* NOTE:  There is no black line around the actual painting.  I have added the line to help differentiate the edges against the pure white page.

8" x 10"

Acrylic paint on a gallery-stretched canvas

The words read:  I like your hidden stuff best.

(Enlarged to show detail.)

ABOUT THIS PIECE:  This piece is much more impressive in person than these scans can convey.  This is a rich, jewel-like painting.  With so many layers and lines and sneaky bits of color peaking out all over.  The words in this painting read, "I like your hidden stuff best."  Because I often find myself drawn to others whose outward personas may appeal to me very little.  But in whom I sense more interesting complexities just below the surface.  I like the stories I feel them holding back more than I like the stories they are sharing.  I am always intrigued by folks with colorful insides.

HOW IT WAS MADE:  This piece has equal parts brush painting and palette knife painting.  I used a teeny tiny 20/0 detail brush to create that gem of a heart and to add the words.

(The staple-free sides have been painted so you can display your new artwork unframed.  This is a digital photo, the scans above are more accurate.)

DISPLAY OPTIONS:  This piece could be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass.  Or it would also display nicely either on the wall or sitting on a small decorative easel just as it is, no framing needed.  The image continues around the staple-free sides for a clean finished look.

I like your hidden stuff best.
