This piece is from very early in my return to the art world.  I had been working as a 9-5 business person and not making art and not knowing anything about myself and feeling very lost.  And then I quit my corporate life and almost immediately, the art started to come.  These early pieces often seem awkward to me.  Strangely composed.  The color is often skewed.  It may have to do with how uncomfortable and unnatural I felt back them.

This painting is about the uncomfortable feelings that can come with being gifted or blessed with special talents.  She knows she should not be able to fly and yet...

I have always considered this an important piece to me on a personal level.

This painting is professionally framed with a spiffy custom frame.

I only made a few pieces a year back then, so these older pieces are rare.
