* NOTE:  There is no black line around the actual painting.  I have added the line to help differentiate the edges against the pure white page.

Walrus

Completed in 2007

6" x 8"

Acrylic paint on an acid-free canvas panel

(Enlarged to show detail.  The words in this piece read, "I think you are funny looking, too.")

ABOUT THIS PIECE What can I say?  I love this beautiful secure Walrus.  She is filled with surprising bits of color and she has gorgeous lines and such an expressive face.  She is utterly unconcerned with your opinion of her.  And she reports honestly (but without bitterness) that you look funny to her as well.

A true fact:  Walruses have thick skin.  Sometimes measuring as much 2" (5cm) thick.

HOW IT WAS MADE:  I used palette knives to create the gorgeous expressive abstract painting behind the lovely Walrus.  That painting evolved over many layers.  Then I used tiny 20/0 detail brushes to bring this lovely lady to life.  Isn't she special?

DISPLAY OPTIONS:  This piece could be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass.  Or it would also display nicely sitting on a small decorative easel or stand just as it is, no framing needed.

I think you are funny looking, too.
