Title:  Walking and Thinking

Completed in:  2008

Size:  4" x 4"

Materials:  Acrylic on gallery stretched canvas

(Enlarged to show details.)

(The painting continues around the staple-free sides.)

MY REACTION The colors in this one are really unbelievable.  I don't know how they all found each other like they did.  I suppose the fall leaves played a part.  But I have never had a painting come together quite like this one.  This is a beautiful piece to see in person.

CONTENT:  I think this chicken has fallen on tough times.  Sometimes walking helps to clear a troubled mind.

ARTISTIC CONCERNS:  This is a knife and brush painting with many layers of color.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:  This piece is on a gallery stretched canvas with staple-free sides.  Walking and Thinking would display nicely unframed either directly on the wall or on a small display easel.  If you prefer a frame, this piece could be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass.
