This is such a rich little painting.  With a wonderful warm sense of early spring light.  It is a beautiful vibrant piece.  The colors are jewel-like and the composition is dynamic.  I am hopeful this bright sunny landscape will bring a bit of natural inspiration to your home or office.

How Warmer Weather was created.....   First, I painted the lines of this piece with black acrylic paint.  Once those dried, I used artist's pens filled with lightfast India ink to "color in" the image.  Next, I used wide soft brushes to layer soft transparent washes of acrylic paint atop the ink.  I painted the expressive trees and the path with tiny detail brushes.  And I finished the piece by carefully repainting those lovely black lines.

Warmer Weather was painted on acid-free white mat board.  You will want to frame it to protect your investment.  One affordable way to frame this unique painting would be to purchase a standard-sized frame at your local home store and then bring the frame and the artwork together to a custom-framer.  Ask the framer to mat the art to fit the frame.
