This was drawn in Kimball, Minnesota. My Mother and her Mother were both born in the same house in Kimball. They were delivered by the same Doctor, too. It is a quiet, sleepy farm town with lovely rolling hills and dark fertile soil. I was lucky to be there at sunset and to capture this peaceful scene. How Water Tower was created..... I pulled over to the side of the road and sketched this image with a fine-tipped black pen. I made sure to capture the shadows and sense of fading light, too. Later, I filled the image out with colored inks and then finished it with a top layer of oil-pastels to give it that soft glowing feel. Water Tower was drawn on acid-free, heavy, white watercolor paper. You will want to frame this lovely drawing to protect your investment. One affordable means of framing is to purchase a standard-sized frame at your local home store and then bring the frame and the artwork together to a custom-framer. Ask the framer to mat the art to fit the frame.
