What Difference

Completed in 2007

5" x 7"

Acrylic on gallery stretched canvas

The words in this piece read:  What difference one small fish?

(Enlarged to show details.)

I love this unusual piece.  It is seemingly bright and simple.  And can be enjoyed as a sunny splash of color.  But it also has an interesting concern.  What does one small life matter?  How do we make our time here count for something?  Or should that even be a consideration?

How this piece was created.....   This is a traditional brush painting.

(The staple-free sides are painted to match so you can display this painting unframed if you like.  This is a digital photo.  The scans above are more accurate.)

This piece was created on a gallery stretched canvas primed with black acrylic gesso.  The image continues around the staple-free sides.  This painting may be displayed unframed either directly on the wall or on a decorative display easel.  Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it required no matting or glass.
