ABOUT THIS PIECE: This an unexpected little painting. More dramatic than my usual work. More expressive. The linework almost feel electric. Ravens often appear in Native American spiritual lore as symbols of mystery, of the unknown. In this painting, the words read, "Who do you trust?" I think too often we trust and follow others without giving appropriate thought to whether those "experts" or leaders merit that trust. HOW IT WAS MADE: This is primarily a palette knife painting, but the bird and the words were created with brushes.
(The staple-free sides have been painted so you can display your new artwork unframed. This is a digital photo, the scans above are more accurate.) DISPLAY OPTIONS: This piece could be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass. Or it would also display nicely either on the wall or sitting on a small decorative easel or stand just as it is, no framing needed. The image continues around the staple-free sides for a clean finished look.
