ABOUT THIS PIECE: Winter is a wonderful time for resting and recharging and repairing. A time to hunker down with a good book. A time to huddle together. A time when silence can be seen and felt as well as heard. Winter is a time of peace and stillness and I always long for it by late October. (Of course I feel differently by late March, but that is another painting.) This is a lush, layered painting with a rich variety of textures and soft hues. It is a soothing escape for your eyes. HOW THIS PAINTING WAS MADE: I used palette knives and brushes to create this magical scene. DISPLAY OPTIONS: This piece could be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass. Or it would also display nicely sitting on a small decorative easel or stand just as it is, no framing needed. I will include a small plastic stand for free if you request one at the time of payment.
