Acrylic on Belgian linen panel

This simple, satisfying image is beautifully layered piece. I
experimented with patters and lines and created a rich abstract
expressionist painting with a clear quiet window in the center.
And in the window is your very own star for wishing. If you cannot imagine something better, nothing better will come. Spend time dreaming and making wishes. Just the very act of wishing is a creative step towards a better future! I created this declarative painting to bring inspiration and creativity to your home or office. How Wish developed..... This is really an experimental painting. I used stencils to create many of the background patterns. And then I used a wide variety of brushes to add the various accent lines and the star and the letters. This piece is on a gorgeous panel of Belgian linen bonded with traditional rabbit-skin glue to a ¼” thick piece of masonite. The linen was primed with top-grade, old school gesso. It is the perfect surface for detailed painting. The texture of linen is so much finer than canvas. The painting continues around the edges. Wish can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no glass or matting. Or is can be displayed on a small decorative easel or plastic stand.
