ABOUT THIS PIECE: What would I give to move there? My spirit sings of wide open prairie. Trees. Quiet stillness. Wild animals. Big weather moving across big skies. My soul lives in a simple white one room house. Across a vast green field. And I am slowly making my way home. Sometimes a painting comes along that is so true, arriving so directly from my heart, where the application of the paint is a divine experience in its own right, that all the paintings that came before seem like practice. This is the landscape all my other landscapes were reaching for. I tried several times to add words to this piece, but it refused them. HOW WHERE MY SOUL LIVES WAS MADE: This is a beautiful expressive painting with layers of color and texture and emotion. I used palette knives, brushes, and my fingers to bring this scene to life. DISPLAY OPTIONS: This piece could be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass. Or it would also display nicely sitting on a small decorative easel or stand just as it is, no framing needed. I will include a clear plastic display stand with this painting if you request one at the time of payment.
