MY REACTION: This piece is infinitely more interesting and more richly layered with color when viewed in person. I could not do it justice in scans and pics. This is a warm hopeful comforting painting. With yummy bits of surprising color peaking out all over the place. And that fabulous little fish. CONTENT: I spend far too much of my time and energy entertaining the notion that I am in control. And battling futilely to make the world behave. This painting is a reminder that we are much better served by allowing Nature to move us instead of trying to change Her. ARTISTIC CONCERNS: I worked on this canvas for a long time. It has layer after layer of expressive painting and interesting textures. WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: This piece is on a gallery stretched canvas. The painting continues around the staple-free sides. It can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass. This one also shows well on the wall as it is, unframed.
