MY REACTION:  Most of the stuff I say in my art is just stuff I need to hear.  But this one is a lesson I paid dearly for and now want to share.  I learned this the hard way and I have no intention of learning it again, so you may find me reminding myself of this message frequently.  Are you ready for my pearl of wisdom?

If it feels like crap, if you are always in need of escapes and indulgences, then it is not home.  Home helps.  Home is comfort.  If it feels like crap, move on.  Seriously.  Go find your home.

Everything is manageable when you are at peace.  Home and hope are the same thing, really.  Just one letter apart.

CONTENT:  The concept of home is of utmost importance to me.  Home is everything.  Whether it is a shack in the woods or a palace in the highlands or maybe something someone wrote or sang about.  Home is where you know yourself and what matters more than that?

ARTISTIC CONCERNS:  This is a traditional brush painting.  These new pieces are looser, more free, more expressive than I have been in ages.  More confident.  Less concerned with perfection and more content to play and imagine.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:  You will want to frame this piece to protect your investment.  I recommend choosing an outer mat that matches the mat board upon which the image was painted.

Always hope.
