ABOUT THIS PIECE: This is an unusual piece. An unexpected composition. And so many neutral hues. It is unusually engaging, too, though. A painting about differences and similarities. About artificial boundaries and natural connections. The words in this piece read: You decide which boundaries really matter. You decide who to call family. Because our families are not simply the people we were born to or grew up with. Our families are the people that nurture us today. HOW IT WAS MADE: I used palette knives and a variety of brushes to bring this one to life. DISPLAY OPTIONS: This piece was painted on a rough wooden board. The image continues around the sides of the board. I can attach a saw-tooth hanger to the back of this piece allowing you to display it unframed if you like. Just request a hanger at the time of payment. Otherwise, this painting can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass.
