Commissions

Commissions are a fun challenge for me.  If you have a specific idea or need for a painting.  Or if you have a favorite dog, cat, rat, house, lake, child, hobby, dream, passion, etc., that you would like to see captured in my unique artistic style, please click here to send me an email and we can discuss your needs.  I will require specific details if this is an idea or several images of your desired subject if possible.  And you will want to review the price list below before specifying dimensions.  We can discuss materials used as well.  I am open to creating special paintings in acrylic (on canvas or wood) or in gouache (on paper) or we could talk about a drawing in colored pencil or crayon or oil pastel - all available on mat board or paper.

Pricing for commissioned pieces:

Tiny Art and 4" x 4" pieces  =  $150

Small - measuring 6" on the longest side  =  $250

Medium - measuring 8" on the longest side  =  $350

Large - measuring 12" on the longest side  =  $500

Extra-large - measuring 18" on the longest side  =  $850

Oversized - measuring 24" on the longest side = $1,500

Even larger - Individually priced before we begin the piece.

Please order commissions using this button.  If you would like to order more than one, you can change the quantity once an item is in your cart.  Remember, all rights to all of my creations remain with me.  You are buying the original art, not the right to reproduce that art.

Timing for commissioned pieces:

Depending on factors like the size of your request, the complexity of your wishes, the number of commissions already on my plate, and whether I have the necessary supplies in stock, your commission(s) could take anywhere from one week to 90 days to complete.  Per painting.  If you need your special artwork by a certain date, be sure to discuss that with me before we begin.

More commission examples are available on request.  I have completed commissions for individuals and business ranging from a single painting measuring one inch square to a series of giant canvases each measuring several feet across.  One fellow even commissioned a painting as his marriage proposal!  (She said yes.)

*** NOTE:  Customers interested in seeing their animals/children/home/etc. appear in artwork are always welcome to send me photos for inspiration.  Please visit this page for more information.

Anyone interested in commissioning or inspiring new art MUST include the following paragraph in your email when you send me photos.  And that email MUST be "signed" with your full name.  If you do not give me permission to use your photo(s) by copying the following paragraph into your email, I will not be able to help you.

"I am sending the attached photo(s) with the understanding that it may inspire you to create original artwork containing a likeness of this image.  No one else owns the copyright to this image and I am giving you permission to use this photo as you see fit.  I understand I will not be compensated for the use of this photo beyond the opportunity to purchase whatever artwork it inspires.  And I understand that if I choose not to buy that artwork, you will be offering it for sale to the public."
