I have a cat named Waffle. Nicknamed Awful Waffle. She wrecks things. That is her job. To keep me from getting too attached to little things like furniture and curtains and anything made of paper. Still, I love her to pieces and I enjoy her wildness. This fun colorful playful painting is in part a nod to the joy that troublesome cats can bring to our lives. And maybe it is in part my feline response to this dog painting, too... Woof. I think cats have more fun than the rest of us. I hope this bright sweet painting warms the home of some fellow cat person out there.
(Here Waffle has made a nest where she often naps now. By shredding all of the paper towels in my studio. Because she only has 6 different cat beds and cat cubby things to sleep in. Poor thing.)
